*Update - Craziest weather of any TT I've put on. Racers rode through a wonderful mix of rain, hail, and slush. This also made for a current flowing down the hill. Great job to those that came out. You are all bad ass.

Tonights TT is happening. Had to cancel last weeks Crit because of weather, but we can race a Time Trial in the rain. No Problem. See you there.

Wednesday, May 25, 2011

Had to make the call and all signs are pointing toward bad weather tonight. Safety is the first factor. With this being the first crit of the season, wet and slick conditions need to be avoided.

I'm offering 9 more crits in Bend this summer. So not to worry, you'll get plenty of racing. Next week is the first Hillclimb TT.

Friday, May 6, 2011

Changes in the TT Series. Take a look. Now we're going Cumulative Series time of the top 4 races in the Series. Go to the TT Series for more details.

Wednesday, May 4, 2011

Just finished up this seasons STXC Series. It was a blast. Thanks to all that came out to support the races. Thanks especially to Cog Wild for supporting tonights races with Free Shuttle Passes to each of the winners of tonight. And check out Cog Wilds Fremont National Forest Epic in September.

Now its time to start getting ready for the road. Time Trial Series starts next week in SE Bend. A 7 mile loop of fast rolling terrain with some of the best views of the Cascades.

Wednesday, April 20, 2011

Tonight marked the start to this years bike race season. We kicked things off with the STXC Series. This years series will be held at Central Oregon Community College. All I can say about tonights race was that the conditions were near perfect. Great way to start this season. Thanks for all that came out and I hope to see more of you next week.

Saturday, March 26, 2011

This weekend has been dedicated to preping for the upcoming race season. I'm offering a full schedule this summer. You'll see some new races on the schedule, while other races will have some changes this year. I'm also making some changes to the website. So keep checking in to see the latest info on this summers races.

Tuesday, August 10, 2010

Hi folks. An unexpected conflict came up where this weeks race was going to be held, so we're going to delay the race. The Central Oregon Crit Championships will be moved to Wednesday, August 18. Check out all the details...Crit Series

Wednesday, June 16, 2010

Well I'm just finishing the results for the kick-off to this seasons Crit Series. Not a bad showing, given the weather. It was chilly with a cool breeze blowing. Next week will be our first Hillclimb. Starting at the Entrada Lodge on Century Dr, we'll race up the hill 9 miles, finishing at Meissner Sno-Park. $10 for each racer with the first off at 6pm. Registration will open at 5pm at the Start area.

Tuesday, June 8, 2010

As most know, tomorrow was to be the start of this seasons Central Oregon Crit Series. I, unfortunately, smashed my body into the ground while I was mountain biking today and realized that I'm not going to be ok to put tomorrows race on. I messed myself up pretty good. I apologize for this inconvenience, but this was an unplanned happening for sure. So next Wednesday, June 16, will mark the start of the Series. Barring the avoidance of catastrophe at Ashland Super D.

Tuesday, June 15 - Series entry (reduced rate), prepay of however many races you want, and waiver signing to speed up the process at the first race. Location T.B.A.

Wednesday, June 16 - C.O. Crit Series - Summit High School

Monday, May 17, 2010

I just received word on a Hillclimb Event that I'll be holding this summer on June 23 and July 7. Both races will be held as Time Trials starting at the Entrada Lodge in Bend. June 23 race will end at Meissner Sno-Park and July 7 race will end at Swampy Sno-Park. More information to come.

Tonight marked the end of the STXC Series. Due to poor attendance, the final race in the STXC Series is cancelled. We'll give it another try next year and hope we can build more momentum from the beginning. Thank you to all that came out to race.

Monday, June 15, 2009

We're half-way through June, and the races are in full swing. This week we have the STXC and Crit Series' going. The forecast is looking dry for the coming week, so we'll be offering all categories of racing at the Crits this week.

Sunday, January 11, 2009:

Hi folks. Just got back from Mt Bachelor where the Winter Triathlon National Championships were held. Central Oregon Racing was brought in for timing this year’s event. Things went as smooth as any race I've been a part of. Bill Warburton is responsible for a fantastic event this year. Results are now available.

Tuesday, December 16, 2008:

Winter is here, finally. I guess we can finally put a close to the 2008 season. Time to start looking ahead to 2009. If you're looking for something to get you fit through the winter, there are plenty of options around. Depending on the weather in town, running can be a fun option. East of town is generally a good place to get away from the snow.

Cross country skiing is a great way to get fit, regardless of your focus in the summer. If you need advice on equipment, where to ski or even some good workouts, email me.

Winter is also the best time of year to focus on strength training. The thing to remember is you don't want a lot of power in your routine. If the focus is spring/summer, now is the time for low weight/high reps. So get to the gym now to get the most benefit.

I will also be teaching a few activity classes at the college this winter. So if you're looking for a guided workout, take a look at what I'll be offering; on-snow skate skiing, spinning, and a functional training based circuit class.

Enjoy the snow and have a Happy Holiday season!

Fall 2008:

We're wrapping up another season of racing for the 2008 season. Winters starting to set in and its time to start looking ahead to next seasons races. Details are still being worked out, but I am planning to bring back the C.O. Racing TT Series. I'll also being adding a Mountain Bike Short Track Series on Tuesdays, alternating weeks with my Running Series. I will also be holding the 2nd annual NWX Friday Night Crit. A C.O. Racing Cyclocross Omnium is also looking likely for Fall 2009. That will involve an Individual Time Trial, a standard Cross Race, and finishing with a Roubaix.

Spring 2008:

Welcome to Central Oregon Racing. Here you'll find a full race schedule for cycling, running, skiing, triathlons, and more. I have posted links for race information, results, training information, and links to some great local supporters of racing.

As the summer race season comes to a close, the fall offers us plenty of racing excitement. Enjoy the cooler weather, and get out on those trails before the snow takes over. It won't be long now.

Have a look around the site and let me know what you think. Also, please let me know if there are any races that you don't find on here.

In addition to this site I am also a race promoter. As a racer, I feel that I understand the important aspects to putting on a race, and I pride myself in getting results posted as fast as I can. So if you're an organization hoping to put on a race or you have some great race ideas, shoot me an email.

That's it for now. So take care of yourselves and don't forget to

BE HAPPY and BE HEALTHY!!!
